Jenn Thomas has been practicing and studying yoga for over 20 years. She received her 200-hour certification with Tom Gillette, became a leader for Off the Mat/Into the World with Seane Corn, and is currently engaged in a 500-hour training with Sarah Powers' Insight Yoga Institute, a graduate-level training with renowned western masters. Jenn is also a longtime artist and teacher (painting and glass), a two-time small business owner, and a life coach. She is developing and deepening practices that integrate yoga, Buddhism, and spiritual psychology.
In yoga class, Jenn encourages a strong awareness of the flow of breath and movement, as well as deep attention to the body and its individual alignments. Practice ignites prana, balances yin and yang energies, and brings forth the stillness and joy within. Jenn's way of weaving language and poetry into the fabric of each class draws us into the heart of who we truly are and the beauty of being alive - on and off the mat.

Yin Yoga poses are performed seated or lying down using props and slow transitional movements that massage and lubricate the body’s sheath of connective tissue as well as the mind’s power of observation. Sustaining each pose for a period of time pairs intentional stillness with steady compression to signal a “rest and restore” mode for the central nervous system thus promoting digestion, muscle repair and organ detoxification.
Yin Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training: Part I - Foundations
The primary focus of this session is to lay the groundwork. Learn the methods which include breath work, anatomy, physical and energetic alignments, basic meridian and five element theory, and mind training. Explore the inner voice as the practitioner and discover the keys to designing classes and holding space as a teacher/clinician.

In this Vinyasa-style class, students explore their personal and physical edge—as well as self-awareness and intention—by cultivating core stability through complex poses (such as inversions and balancing postures) in sequences that invite precision and mindfulness. Yogis stretch and strengthen muscles while energizing the body and stimulating the mind.

Yoga Nidra - the science of deep rest and awakening to your true nature - can be used as a simple guided rest and relaxation technique, as well as a deeper guided experience leading to an unshakable sense of ease, peacefulness and well-being. This iRest® practice, a modern adaptation, offers integration as it may heal various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in your body and mind. It also offers restoration as it aids you in recognizing the underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst the changing circumstances of life. Students lie comfortably on a yoga mat with props and blankets for support while being guided through the meditative steps of Yoga Nidra. This practice helps to develop tools to work with physical, vital, emotional and psychological issues.

This gentle class helps yogis release tension and unwind. Welcoming all levels, Stretch + Breathe pairs gentle, lengthening movements with breath work to create a balanced experience of groundedness, fluidity, and ease—both physically and energetically.
