August Student of the Month: Rachel Francis

What attracted you to yoga? Why did you start?
For many health ailments Yoga was always recommended. Once I started I fell in love!

What is your favorite type or style and why?
Vinyasa because it brings me back to my ballet days, which was such a huge chapter in my life. 

What is your favorite yoga pose and why?
The pigeon pose is one of my many favorites because it is so liberating and it just plain feels good! 

What other activities do you enjoy?
I love to dance and walk for exercise. I also love to practice yoga with my children. 

An inspiring book or movie you recommend?
The book: The Untethered Soul, the journey beyond yourself by Michael A. Singer really spoke to me.

Favorite food?
Tomatoes under a runny egg and an apple with almond butter is my go to breakfast...everyday :)

Favorite place to be and why?
With my two loving children and family. They are my heart and soul.

What keeps you doing yoga?
I do yoga for my health, happiness and sanity. I will never stop practicing yoga.

Any advice to beginners?
Play, have fun with it. Challenge yourself in a safe way.

What do you like most about All That Matters?
I love every teacher who has ever taught me at All That Matters.

Any other words of wisdom?
Let your yoga breath bring you back to the here and now and your inner strength.
