The mindfulness revolution is happening all around us! There is no better time than now to embrace a more heart-centered and conscious way of living. Mindfulness is a present- moment awareness of thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment. Mindfulness also involves a non-judgmental attitude and a cultivation of kindness and curiosity.

There is a growing body of research to document the many physical and emotional benefits associated with mindfulness practice. Some of these include:

• A stronger immune system
• Less time spent ruminating over stressful events
• Lower cortisol levels which means less stress
• Altered brain structure and function

These benefits, and many more make this ancient practice a very practical application for modern living. As a remedy for the stress and fast-pace of modern life, mindfulness is exploding in businesses, classrooms, boardrooms, hospitals and living rooms around the globe.

Training Schedule

10 weekly meetings by phone
  • Thu, Mar 16-May 18, 7:15pm-8:45pm
  • Each class consists of guided meditation, new material and group discussion

2-Day Retreat weekend at All That Matters in RI
  • Sat, Jun 3, 10am-4:30pm 
  • Sun, Jun 4, 10am-3pm
  • Spend Saturday being guided by Erin through your own retreat experience
  • On Sunday, take turns leading a group practice where each person will have the opportunity to give and receive feedback

In between sessions, participants are expected to:
  • Maintain a daily mindfulness practice, assisted by guided recordings, to strengthen your teaching skills
  • Complete independent study of provided readings and videos to support the teachings
  • Practice guiding others during weekly meetings, and with a partner in the program on off days

meet erin sharafErinPic


Practicing mindfulness since 2000 and teaching mindfulness based interventions since 2006, Erin Sharaf combines her 18 years in health care and over 20 years as an educator to create programs for personal transformation. She has taught mindfulness in hospitals/medical centers, to community groups, and in corporate settings.   Erin has extensive training in mindfulness through the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare & Society and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine, has received the 5 Mindfulness Trainings from Thicht Nhat Hanh, and has completed courses in Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) and Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT). A Martha Beck Life Coach, Erin also has a master's degree in Integrative Medicine and is a former professional figure skater. Interviewed on NPR, featured in Mindful magazine, and a speaker at many conferences, Erin truly enjoys sharing this transformative practice with others.
