Much like a yoga practice, Yogic Writing connects your body and mind in a conversation to reveal a story that is yearning to be told. The principles and practices of yoga can help unearth the voice that is lurking within your heart, and shape the stories within.
It takes courage to be who you are on the mat, and who you are when putting pen to paper. Are you ready to write your story?
Join All That Matters' Director of Programming and story coach, Rebecca Gold, for a powerful Yogic Writing workshop that will explore story through the practice of Meditation and Pranayama, along with a series of engaging journaling exercises to assist in exploring memory, generate new work and shape the stories within.
The day will include a light yoga practice, so please dress comfortably.
For writers of all levels, and those who want to write but feel stuck, learn how to:
• Create a plan for a sustainable yogic writing practice • Avoid common mistakes that keep writers stuck • Use simple tools that inspire creative flow • Explore techniques to help shape and edit your stories • Create a judgment free zone for your work
Please bring a pen and paper (or journal), as we will be writing by hand, and please dress comfortably.
